El Paso Week Two

We had a full and fun second week in the Sun City... And a HOT one! Summer has arrived in El Paso!
I saw this in my car most afternoons of the week! Not fun when you are carrying an extra 10 lbs already!!
Saturday:
The boys are doing great at the gym- they run right in every day we go (I think it helps that they often play Frozen!).
We headed to see Grandma Rachel, Melissa (my step- aunt I guess?!) and her boys Joshua and Jonah. LJ remembered them and was excited to see them again!

Knocking on Grandma Rachel's door!  They get very excited to do this, and then often get shy when the person answers!
Outside to play with bubbles!

Inside to play with blocks!
Evan kept knocking down poor Jonah's big tower...
Jello with whipped cream! LJ has never had whipped cream, but loved it and kept asking for more!
Evan loving on Grandma Rachel!

Sunday:
Selfie for dad! We miss you!!
Skyping with Dad in the morning... They have so much to tell and show him!
Here's Pete the Cat!
"Hi Dada!!!"

Saying hi to our dogs!
Then to Aunt Patsy's to play with everyone! Thank goodness Aunt Cindy kept so many toys from her bits! LJ already knows where to find them all and loves going over!

Cal (my precious Godson) and LJ have really bonded this trip! Cal is amazing with the boys!
LJ handed him a book to read!
LJ has been protesting naps pretty hard- so today (while Evan took his usual 2 hour nap), he was building with blocks instead of napping....
But he's so tired- so he will pass out as soon as we get in the car to drive to Grandma's to swim! Poor guy- I really think he is just afraid he's going to miss something so doesn't want to sleep!
Grandma bought them noodles (which they call light sabers since we had used then as those at Evan's 1st birthday)!

Nice lady offered to take a picture of us! We have been here so much but I can never get picture/ videos because my hands are so full with the boys!
Then we met Capi and Gigi for dinner- and the boys had their first ice cream Sunday! Mmmm!
Evan was not a fan of the cherry for some reason!
Monday:
After the gym we headed back to  Grandma Rachel's. She sews a lot, and the boys were having so much fun with all her extra cloth!

Outside to play!
We just read The Sword and the Stone (borrowed from Aunt Cindy), and then LJ found a little Merlin! He was so excited!
Hugs!
Protesting nap again! LJ has been VERY into drawing- and he is getting really good!
Building together (or LJ making really tall cool towers and Evan knocking them down!)

Auntie Lori's for dinner... LJ 'flying in his plane' with Cal!
Evan making sure everyone sanitized their hands!

Evan's turn to fly!
Tuesday:
LJ tickling Evan at breakfast (saying tickle tickle tickle)
Evan has stuck to Central time for naps! So if we are not home before 12:30 (1:30 Austin and our nap time), this is what happens! Thankfully he has been transferring well and been taking great naps!
Back to Lori's for dinner! These are all my adorable little 2nd cousins (that all are taller than me now!)!  And Evan just in heaven hanging with them!
Playing with Auntie Bri...

LJ pretty much follows Cal around!
Little boy in a big toy store!
LJ was running around too- until he found a Frozen book!!! Then he asked to sit in the basket and read!
We found Gigi!
Back at Grandma Rachel's- and she made them capes!!! After so much fun playing with the cloth yesterday, she decided to make them a little something! Thank you Grandma Rachel! Wish I had time to stay and learn to sew with you!!

Super Evan!
Coloring time- their favorite!

No nap again- so passed out on the way to swim! Poor LJ!
Evan trying out his new puddle jumper... I just needed a little help because Evan is CRAZY in the water! He loves being under the water and jumps in over and over non-stop. Makes it hard while trying to watch 2 boys so  was hoping this would give me a little time with LJ too... he liked it that first day, but hasn't wanted to wear it since (probably because it prevents him from going all the way under water which is what he wants!).

Well at least I got to get some pictures the one day he wore it!
Aunt Patsy's for dinner!

Ticklish little Evan!
Thursday:
Grocery shopping- this is a new type of cart for us, but boys like it!
And guess who made our day after naps... Dada!!! I can't describe how happy and excited LJ was to see his dad! It was precious! I could not get a word in for over an hour as he continued to tell Barrett about our week.  And then asked him to go on a bear hunt with him, and then a bee hunt (we have been doing that with Grandma in the pool)... he would not leave his side! I didn't think anyone could have missed Barrett the last 9 days more than me- but I have some competition!!

My boys all back together again- yay!!!
A quick stop at Bob-O's - with just enough time to win tickets and pick out a prize!
Evan wearing his hat- love it!
Then on to Peter Piper for dinner with everyone- so fun!!

Playing with his parachuter!
Evan got to go way up in the playscape with Tricia Ann- and he was so excited!
And down the slide!

Mini merry-go-round!

They love the rides!

Thanks for such a fun night!!
On the drive home from dinner, while it was a little quiet in the car, LJ said, "Dada, I am just really glad you're back!" And he had the most content little smile on his face... Heart melting!

A little extra cuddle time with dad before bed (I took a picture of the monitor)!
