Egg dying

I decided to try to make our own cascarones (confetti eggs) this year for the first time. I remember doing this with my mom and brother as a child, and thought it would be fun to start up the tradition. So I had to buy some white eggs (realized we only eat brown ones here), and cracking them very carefully so we could use them to dye and fill!

So a few days before Easter, we sat down together to attempt our egg dying. LJ had already gotten to do this at school, so he did very well dying our eggs! He even got creative and started dipping eggs in multiple dyes and combining the dyes to see what colors he got!

Evan had a great time- but dipping eggs into small cups in the house with our 20 month old was a little test of my patience! He kept knocking them over and spilling every where- but he was enjoying himself so much... and did a good job- so success overall!!

Notice all the paper towels sopping up spilled dye! Haha!
All dyed and drying! Exhale!

Time to put confetti in them and glue the tissue paper on!
LJ helped me with some and then worked on a card next to me ... Evan was busy playig ball with his dad! These boys are so different!!

Some of the finished products (we had almost 3 dozen total!).  We put names on a few of them for our family members!
