LJ is two years old!
Wrote this on his birthday, then forgot to publish until we went to his well check! Some info 1 month old and some from today!
I can't believe our little LJ is already 2! He is such a precious blessing! Sweet, smart, funny (yes I'm biased)-but he really does make everyday special!
Sleep: LJ had a pretty long sleep regression recently, but (I am knocking on wood as I type this) he seems to be through it! He would just wake up crying 1-3 times a night, and usually Barrett would just go hold him for a while until he went back to sleep. This didn't happen every night, but often enough! It started when he was around 19-20 months and lasted until just a few weeks ago. We think it was caused by a combination of having so much change/ a new brother on the way or here, and also teething. He finally has all 4 of his incisor teeth in- and 3 broke through the gum the week that his regression seemed to end! But he has been back to sleeping from around 7:45 -8 pm until 7-8 am. He also has one nap a day, usually from about 1:30- 3 or 3:30 pm.
Activities: LJ is currently in Kids-Day-Out (KDO) twice a week and does a Little Gym class once a week. Our wonderful nanny, Jamie, has been spending a lot of time with LJ as the family adjusts to our new addition, and LJ absolutely loves her!
Milestones/ Achievements:
-LJ now has all his teeth except for his four 2-year molars
- Still has ABCs down - except for he always misses a letter in the "LMN" range....
-Not a lot of progress with counting. Has numbers 1-12 down, and can finish strong with 18, 19, 20... but we get a little lost in the middle still (with eleventeen and mama-teen!). But he counts things up to 10 repeatedly and in both English and Spanish.
-We are most impressed with his vocabulary and memory. He speaks in full sentences, asks 'politely' for things (May I have my other airplane please), and we have full conversations with him.
-Haven't started potty training, but he has pee-ed and poo-ed in the toilet.
-Goes up and down the stairs by himself.
-Sings several songs, with mostly the right / complete words!
Old news, but here's his abcs and counting- he usually does at least to 12, but of course not when I was recording! But I love his singing!

WELL CHECK UPDATE:
LJ finally had his 2 year well check - at exactly 25 months old!
He is a big boy!!
Height: 37 in (95%)
Weight: 30 lbs (85-95%)
Head Circumference: 51 cm (95-97%)
Everything is great developmentally. They asked if he said at least 4 word sentences (he does 7-8 word sentences and full songs!), knew at least 20 words (I don't know many words he doesn't know!), could follow 2 commands in a row (throw diaper away and come sit here- he can do these- and GIVE them!). Also tracking physically - he can kick a ball, draw a line and a circle, stack 5-6 blocks (many more than this!), jump with both feet of the ground (he LOVES doing this and does it all over the house while saying 'Jump, jump!'), balance on one foot, run, etc. Thank God for our happy, healthy little man!
