LJ -Our 22 Month Old!

LJ is 22 months old on August 13... and seeing as this will be a very busy day for us (either because Evan will be joining us or will already be here), I thought I take a minute to say what a wonderful, smart, and fun little man we have (I may be a bit biased!!).

Some of the things he impresses us with:
- He is a great speaker! Says 4-6 word sentences- For example, today he said "Put the socks on the feet" and "Mama come sit on sofa" and "LJ need opening door" and "There ya go Bella"
- His sign language is amazing- knows more signs than I do and will show me what there are all the time. This has also come in handy as we have started trying to learn some words in Spanish- he seems to catch on faster if I do the sign and say it in Spanish.
- Counts to 10 in English all the time- and has gotten as far as 20 a few times! Usually after 12 we miss or skip some numbers though- and recently he has decided 'eleven-teen' is his favorite number and repeats this one often!
- Counts to 10 in Spanish
- Almost has ABCs down
- Sings so many songs! Will finish songs if you start them, or randomly just start singing them on his own! Some of his favorites include: Ali Galou (song from our music class- he requests it every time we are in the car and sings it all the time!), Two Little Blackbirds, All Around the Mulberry Bush (and he jumps when he 'pop goes the weasel), Row Your Boat, Ring Around the Roses (LOVES the fall down part!), Wheels on the Bus, a few songs from Signing Time Videos, and many more!
- Has basic colors down, and asks for things by color "I want the blue plane" etc

Here is a link to a (long-sorry!) video of him at lunch doing many of these things! (Please excuse his mouth being full of food- only time I can get a good video is meal time because he is all over the place other wise!)....

Some of the things he loves:
- Dogs/ animals
- Airplanes, helicopters, and trains- LOVES
- Peek-a-boo and hide-and-seek - althougth he calls both peek-a-boo (he will say "play peek-a-boo then grab your hand, take you into the dining room, and tell you to count while he runs and hides on other side of table!)
- Reading: he knows the title of most his books and has several books basically memorized (at least parts of them if not whole thing)!
- Puzzles
- Legos
- swimming/ water
- Dada's shirt (like his blankie) and his paci (which we try to keep only in his crib)
- Iphones/ Ipads- mostly only to look through pictures and videos
- Signing Time videos (and the star Rachel)

My video uploads are working very well, so here are some more videos of him singing, abcs, counting, talking, etc... Warning: they are each a few minutes long!
