A wonderful visit with my wonderful Aunt Patsy
Well what an amazing week we have had!! Aunt Patsy got to Austin on Tuesday afternoon, and the fun began immediately! She had LJ laughing the whole drive home and into the night!
They quickly formed their own inside joke of shaking their hands together-which I think became LJ's 'sign' for 'Aunt Patsy'!! He did it every time I said her name or he saw her all week, and cracked up every time!
And then LJ got some love and attention- 'Chagra-style'!!
Wednesday we got to meet my cousin Robert for lunch at Aunt Patsy's and my favorite -Firehouse Subs! So great to catch up with Robert- and LJ got to keep the hat!!
We had a full morning on Thursday starting with music class where we had 2 special guests- Patsy and Queenie!
Aunt Patsy must have been our
teacher's (Larissa) favorite participant ever since she clapped for her, constantly complemented her talent, and praised Larissa throughout class! Larissa said "please come back ANY time Aunt Patsy!" It was so fun to watch her enthusiasm!!
LJ 'playing' an instrument!
Happy little musician Eagle Jr!
Then the boys found a small table- LJ's favorite- to sit and play at...
We has lunch after class, and LJ was so tired from the morning, he fell asleep within 2 minutes of being in his carseat!
Joe came over for dinner again and we had a great final evening! We spent some time talking about my dad- who has unbelievably been gone 15 years on the 8th- and remembering all the wonderful things he brought into our lives! My very thoughtful mom and grandma made it out to his grave -as they always do on the Dec 8- to say hi and put flowers out for him (and all my family buried there- my aunts, uncles, and grandparents)... So special!!
Aunt Patsy put an exhausted LJ to sleep after a great day!
Then on Friday, after a morning playdate to introduce Aunt Patsy to our friends, we headed back to El Paso together!
LJ did very well on his 13th flight, and we were so happy to have Aunt Patsy there to help us!! He really enjoyed waving at everyone that would pass by, eating, and playing on the iPad!
Grandma, Gigi and Sergio were all at the airport waiting for us when we arrived!
We are now in El Paso with Gigi and Capi for a few days (Barrett gets in tomorrow) and so excited to be here!
