We planned to start our summer with a nice long trip to El Paso to visit with our family and friends there. Since Gigi and Capi were in town for Spring Sing, they offered to give us a ride home with them... We had to take them up on it!!! But we also really wanted to have our car there since we would be staying over two weeks! So poor Barrett took one for the team and offered to let us fly with my parents, and he drove the car down all by himself the next day! So after the boys' Spring Sing, we headed home for naps, packed up the car, and as soon as everyone woke up, we headed to the airport so we could be in El Paso for dinner! And guess who made the trip this time (now that we have a yard at Capi and Gigi's new house)... Bella!!! She has been flying in their planes many times, but I do think she enjoyed the jet this time around!! Haha!  Guy in the airport gave the boys little wood planes to put tougher... this took 3 minutes to put together, and even less time to b...

The boys' last day of school at HOPE was a quick and fun day! They had a normal drop off time of 9 am, but then their Spring Sing show started at 11 am and they got to go home (they normally go home at 2 pm).  They were excited for Spring Sing and had been practicing their songs for us for weeks!  I attempted a 'last day of preschool' picture, but I didn't quite get what I was aiming for! Darn! The boys had been making guns out of their gear toys so I let them keep them for the picture...  And here is a memory from their first day this year... Their teachers always had notes about the day on the white boards outside their classes. Evan's teacher (for his 'Lions' class) had this out today!  We were so blessed to have Capi, Gigi, Grandad AND Queenie there!!! Knowing everyone would make it and hearing that the room usually filled up, we participated in the silent auction for the first and second rows at the performance... and we won!!! ...

We had two Catch Air visits in one week! We are spoiled!!!  First one was a play date with a new mom's group I joined. They have play dates every Tuesday, which works so well for our schedule! Kids love this place, and they got a great price for it!! There are SO many fun things to do... I think the boys ran for a full hour going from thing to thing before stopping for water! Ellie also had blast! We'd only been once before, and she seemed to really love it this time!  Spinning... Then on Friday, all the kids from LJ's preschool class at WHPP (who were out of school a week earlier than us!), had a little end of year party at Catch Air too! I pulled the boys out of school a little early to go to the party- and they were so excited!! I wanted LJ to get to celebrate with the kids he had spent the up to three years at school with!       We got a party room and had a cute little celebration for all the...

Every Wednesday morning is Chapel at HOPE, and at the end of Chapel, they celebrate any kids'  birthdays for the week. Since Evan has a summer birthday, his teacher said they would like to celebrate his birthday at Chapel during the year. Evan has never had a birthday celebration at school, and he was beyond excited!!! So Evan's 'Pretend Birthday' was set for April 20! During Chapel, they bring all the birthday kids up on stage to sing to them, then they get to pick a prize out of a huge bag, and they also get to celebrate in their classroom later. Evan made a special crown to wear during chapel, and he asked for chocolate chip cookies for his class treat!  Evan in the middle of the picture below wearing his crown!!
