Every Wednesday morning at HOPE Preschool the kids have Chapel. All the kids from the school meet in the church, a bible story is shared with everyone, they sing songs, and then they end with singing happy birthday to all birthdays from the week.  Since Evan is a summer birthday (Aug 13), they picked a week in April to celebrate Evan! He was so excited!! And we even got to bring his choice of treat to share with the class during snack time... he picked rice crispy treats!  A quick selfie with the 'Birthday Boy' before they head to chapel!  Love the crown he made himself!    Singing to the birthday kids!  After they sing, each kid gets to pick a small gift out of the birthday bag! Evan picked a recorder! We got to attend LJ's first performance during his Kinder Spring Musical. The entire kinder class (consisting of about 200 students) performed the musical "How Does Your Garden Grow."  I got there a little early to get a class picture and help get the kids in the cafeteria. They were so cute!  Here is a 2 min video from his musical. He did not have any solo parts, and we didn't have the best seats! You are able to see him him singing towards the top/middle of the screen... but not very well! He was supposed to be heading back to his class, but snuck off to give them a hug!! Proud of my little performer! We met several of the other kindergarteners out for ice cream after to celebrate!  Great job guys! 

We had a full week of celebrating Easter this year, and we really enjoyed ever part of it!  Our first event was our very favorite annual egg hunt at the McDonnell's house! We always start with a group shot of the kids as before they take off and start hunting (the only time we have true leverage!!)! What a cute group!  Ellie is bottom right corner, Evan is all the way right, 2 kids above Ellie, and LJ is back row 3rd from left! Ellie's faces crack me up!   Silly faces!   And the hunt is on!      Trying to keep Ellie hunting and not just opening each egg was quite a task!    Post-hunt: we sit and sort through all the treasured prizes found in the eggs!    Confetti egg time!
