This time of year is so special because we have 3 occasions back to back where I get to reflect on the truly incredible and amazing man I get to call my husband!! The first is Father's Day, then his birthday right after, and last our anniversary!  Today was Barrett's birthday- and very sadly, he got a fever the night before that got worst throughout his birthday. So the poor guy was sick in bed most of the day. He finally emerged that evening to open his presents and let the boys sing to him. They had been so excited about his birthday!  Barrett's sisters sent him delicious cupcakes that morning, so I skipped baking the cake (especially since he wasn't feeling good) and we enjoyed the cupcakes!  Opening his gifts...  I let the boys pick out anything they wanted for him at Target... and this is what they insisted on - a Flash shirt!! Gigi and Capi sent him a nice Chihuahua's workout shirt! The boys each made him very special cards... ...

8 months of happiness!!! Love our sweet girl!  She is 8 months on Barrett's 35th Birthday - a reason we picked Oct 23!  Updates on Ellie: Sleep: Ellie usually sleeps through the night, but maybe a couple times a week wakes up for a quick feeding then right back to bed! Bedtime is the same- a typical night is around 7:30 pm to 7/ 7:30 am and, if she got up in the middle of the night for a bottle, sometimes as late as 9 am!  She is now sleeping in her crib for all sleep (she moved out of the pac n play in my closet just over a month ago), and the transition was seamless! I think she is more comfortable in her crib! Also, she loves turning on her ocean wonders night soother (a little thing attached to her crib that lights up and plays music when you hit a button- which she does by herself)!  She loves her pacis (2 are kept in her bed only), puts them in and out of her mouth as she pleases, and has a blankie in there that she loves to snuggle with! She ...

We had a pretty low-key Father's Day around here, but were so excited to celebrate the ABSOLUTE MOST AMAZING Dad Ever! I am more in awe of Barrett each day/ year as I watch him with our children! I feel so incredibly blessed and happy for our kids!  Also so grateful today - and EVERY DAY for all the amazing dads we know (and will always remember!). My dad, who we miss so much and my kids know is in heaven watching over us, our fabulous Grandad, Capi, and many others in our life! What incredible men we have been blessed with!!! Thanks for all you are and do!!!  Opening his presents...  a new shirt for around the house!  Breakfast... Ellie and Barrett playing their new 'reach for each other' game! So cute!!  The boys and I made chocolate pudding for their Dad for dessert! Healthy recipe from Sang- was a hit (thanks Sang!)!! Yum! 

The boys were SO EXCITED to go on our first trip of the summer... to El Paso to visit all our family there!!! We had a count down going, and the morning of our flight they were so ready to go!!! They had helped me pack, told me everything special they wanted to take, and even picked out some of their outfits! We started our trip to El Paso with an exciting adventure ... my first time flying with all three kids alone!  Barrett had to get to a meeting, so he dropped us off on the curb with the MOST CROWDED curb-side check-in line I've ever seen! But these kids did GREAT! The boys stayed right with me, held hands when we walked through out the airport, and even helped me keep track of all my stuff! I was so impressed!!!  And they continued to be great on the airplane! Of course, the airport was so packed, and our flight was completely sold out! If the flight isn't sold out, I can usually get an extra seat to put Ellie's car seat (even though I don't pay fo...
