Our annual celebration of my Aunt Patsy's birthday- which also ends up being a reunion for me and all my cousins on my dad's side- was a little earlier than usual this year on December 26 (Aunt Patsy's birthday isn't until Jan 4 but this date worked best for the group). This year we headed to a new restaurant in El Paso called Good Coffee (not sure why it's named that, but it is a lunch and dinner place too!).  It was perfect because we had the entire upstairs for just our family- which is FORTY people only including my first cousins on dad's side and their families! The beautiful birthday girl and Evan! The early arrivals! Jordan gave an unbelievably awesome speech- celebrating Aunt Patsy and including a little snip-it about every single one of the cousins! Amazing!! Evan was obsessed with letting go of his balloon, then chasing the string! And then he would go find some arms to snuggle in and rest! Hah! The joy of balloons!...

This was the first year that LJ really really understood 'Christmas morning'- the concept of Santa having come in the middle of the night and leaving him gifts. It was so cute! And honestly, I think Barrett and I were the most excited! We got up early, made a little snack plate for the boys, and had everything set up before we went upstairs to get them.  We headed up to get them at about 7:45 am.  We actually had to wake up Evan (had to be at Queenie and Grandad's in about 45 mins), but LJ was awake playing in his bed (very common for him!).  LJ asked immediately if Santa had come! "Let's go see!!"  He found them!  Playing with Evan's new toy from Santa...  A shirt for my "Duck Dynasty" obsessed hubby!  Opening gift from Granny...  Both boys LOVE these dinosaurs!  From mom and dad...  Tennis racket like moms'!  Evan got Pete the Cat!    Shovel - a new favorite!! ...
