August Randoms

I missed posting so many random moments this month, so decided to combine them all together!

LJ has gotten very brave on slides! He goes down the biggest ones without hesitation now!

LJ and Barrett went to a class at Lowes where they built this plane together (it's Dusty from the movie Planes).

A Visit to the El Paso Zoo- Our first time!

We started out the year with a family outing to the El Paso Zoo- and my good friend Sara, Ava, and Oliver joined us!  Oliver and Ava had been there before so he was our tour guide!  We were pleasantly surprised by how many great animals were there! We will definitely be going back! Lots of zebras- and they were hanging ostriches... LJ just observing while Gigi points things out... Oliver and LJ checking out Zebras... Ok the giraffes were definitely MY favorite- watching them drink water was so funny (and a little sad!)...  Gigi, LJ, and Ava looking at the funny little animals... Just funny... Lobos!! The world's largest rodent- gross! Looking at the reptiles... There were also lions, tigers, lots of birds, sea lions, and more!! Think we had more fun than LJ- but hopefully he will be more excited every time we go!

April 2016 Randoms

Vivo is actually a few minutes closer to our new house than our old one, so we always try to make our Saturday morning visit with Queenie and Grandad!! We will sure miss them in a few weeks! Ellie has been a little challenging at meals... thankfully she has many laps to welcome her!      Barrett took Evan and Ellie to Academy for a little golfing while LJ and I unpacked the POD one day! Ellie loves the trampoline as much as her brothers!! And she loves coloring!!! She really gets into it!  This is our 'waiting rock'! The boys run down the trail behind our house, and can only go as far as the 'waiting rock' without us. Then they have to wait for us to get there before moving on! They are great at stopping there :) Side note: I no longer have ANY control over their outfits... they dress themselves (often many times) every day. And guess what- they love matching themselves!!! Ellie's 2 Week Well-Check

 Ellie is two weeks today!! And when I took her clothes off in the morning for her two week appointment, I was surprised to find her umbilical cord was gone!!! Yay (and finally!)! Although I still have no idea where it went (gross!). I am thinking maybe it fell off when I changed her diaper in the middle of the night - and maybe the dogs found it (gross again!). But at least it's gone!! Excited to start giving better baths, any outfit, etc without having to worry about the cord! Overall, we had a very positive 2 week appointment! Dr. Hargrave said she seems to be doing very well, looks very alert (she was awake during the entire appointment!), and is even on the advanced side of the number of expressions she makes (maybe she will be an early smiler!). The only mild concern was that she had not gained her birth weight back yet. BUT the doctor said not to worry yet since she seems to be happy and doing well otherwise, and we will talk more at her 1 month well check. She h...
